Happy Friday....Business Meetings...and Weddings...
Here I sit typing without Michelle and the Boys with me...
I am at a National Sales Meeting while Michelle and the Boys are
at a Wedding... I would rather be with them...
Isn't life like that sometimes?
It separates us from those we love even if for fleeting moments and we still
miss them because they are a part of our life. It seems that sometimes circumstance and situations separate folks for much longer than they expected; Soldiers at war, Husbands and Wives doing their duty for God and Country. Sickness sometimes separates people from one another or the final separation being death.
And yet everyday we meet folks that either add or take away from our lives. I love to be with Michelle and the Boys because they are my life. I know that everyday the inevitable happens and maturity and growth take their course but for now I cherish the moments we have together.
I want YOU to make everyday a memory. Tell your Spouse you love them...Tell your Kids they are important to you... Don't wait until your seperated by something to let those people you know that you love them...
Just some Words....
Be Encouraged...

Wild Wednesdays...A Cracked Pot...It just Feels Right...
I recieved this and thought I would share it...
A Cracked Pot...
An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck.
One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.
At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water.
Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments.
But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.
After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream.
"I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in m y side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house."
The old woman smiled, "Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?"
"That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them."
"For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table.
Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house."
Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.
You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.
Find the good in folks and be encouraged...

Monday...Birthdays...BBQ's and The Time Warp...
Where does time go? This weekend just flew by without even saying hello.
We had a family BBQ on Friday night with a number of family members in attendance and had a surprise birthday party for the Mother-in-Law Saturday to prepare for...and Sunday had a five hour roundtrip drive to celebrate a Brother-in-Laws birthday party too... It almost feels like we didn't even get a day off...This coming weekend said Brother-in-Law is getting married and I have a national sales meeting to attend. Michelle and Boys are heading down south and I am heading north...another weekend of work...work...work...I need a break...
I think that to take time we have to make time. Time is not our friend in all circumstances. Time can become our nemesis if we let it. Making time is something we all need to do. A weekend here or there, stealing away for a few private moments with family is important. The job, church and others will always be there but our family won't. The kids grow up and move out and what memories will they cherish if we never stop long enough to make memories for them?
Take some time this week or weekend to make sure your family knows they are important in your life. Take your wife out on date, take the kids to a park or do something they enjoy doing. Make the Time Warp work for you and not against you. The time spent will be worth the cost when you add up the values of what your family is worth to you against what time takes from you.
Just some thought... Be Encouraged!!
